Indycar Crash at Las Vegas Speedway 2011 - R.I.P. Dan Wheldon

Today, the IndyCar Finale at  Las Vegas Motor Speedway ended in tragedy when a fiery 15-car crash killed British racer Dan Wheldon, a two-time Indy 500 inner, who was just 33 years old. Three other car racers -- Pippa Mann, JR Hildebrand, and Will Power -- were hurt. According to other racers, including Danica Patrick, the crash was like a scene from a movie with cars flying through the air, things catching on fire, and debris littering the track. Wheldon leaves behind his wife Susie Behm and sons Sebastian, 2, and Oliver 8 months.

The rest of the race was canceled and drivers slowly drove around the track in Wheldon's honor while "Amazing Grace" played.

Other athletes lit up Twitter with their condolences:

"Life is so short. Make the most of it & enjoy every minute you have w/ those you love. My thoughts are w/ Dan's family. RIP DanWheldon." -- Brian Westbrook, former Philadelphia Eagles running back
